French-Mexican tenor Rolando Villazón (1972) is accompanied by the Südwestdeutsche Kammerphilharmonie Konstanz in performing a colourful recital from the Berliner Philharmonie. In this concert from 2006, Villazón performs various arias by Italian opera composers like Verdi, Rossini, Donizetti, Cilea and Mascagni. On the program are also some French works by Massenet, like Ô Souverain, ô juge, ô père from Le Cid and Toute mon âme est là! Pourquoi me réveiller, ô souffle du printemp from 'Werther'. Through his uniquely compelling performances with leading opera houses and orchestras around the world, Villazón established himself as one of the music world's most beloved stars and one of the leading tenors of our day.
